What can the entry-level soundbar with Dolby Atmos do?
Denon promises Premium sound, 3D audio with Dolby Atmos and good speech intelligibility, thanks to the Dialogue Enhancer. The sound bar also has an integrated subwoofer, which is supposed to take care of the bass foundation. You get the whole thing in an ultra-slim and compact soundbar that will fit seamlessly into most living rooms.
In the test by the technology magazine Techradar, the Denon DHT-S217 came out really well. The solid dialogue quality, the high volume and the powerful bass are praised. Surround sound was also noted, but only to a lesser extent.
Although the entry-level sound bar supports virtual 3D sound (in the form of Dolby Atmos), it does not have an entire sound system built in like some higher-priced sound bars. Due to its compact design, the soundbar reaches its limits here, but the powerful sound it offers is still impressive.
