The Democrats win Georgia – Sweden news

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock received the most votes in the first round earlier in November, but failed in the tied election to secure the 50 percent of the vote needed to avoid a runoff.

He has campaigned intensively since then, and had an early lead in the vote count.

Herschel Walker, a Trump friend, has kept a lower profile ahead of the second round of elections. He has faced headwinds in the election campaign, with several ex-girlfriends accusing the former NFL star of cheating, lying and showing violent tendencies. He is also accused of pressuring women to have abortions.

Even in the bill

Despite the setbacks, Walker has gone strong even in the second round of the election, and was partially under the vote count in the lead. But a few hours into the even vote count, the AP news agency and several others were able to name Warnock the winner, as the remaining votes to be counted, among other things, come from the central parts of metropolitan Atlanta, which overwhelmingly vote Democratic.

Fact: US Senate election

The United States Senate, the upper house, consists of two senators from each state, who are elected for six-year terms. To become a senator, you must be at least 30 years old and have been a US citizen for at least nine years and live in the state from which you are elected.

A third of the US’s 100 senators were elected in the November mid-term elections in the US. Before the election, it was completely even between the two political sides, with 50 seats each and Vice President Kamala Harris as the deciding vote.

The Democrats won in the midterm elections over a seat that previously belonged to a Republican (in Pennsylvania). In Georgia, a second round of elections was required.
