The demand: Apologize for slavery

Slavery was a cornerstone of British expansion. According to historical documents, twelve British monarchs over 270 years have supported and made money from the slave trade.

The Caribbean states have long demanded an apology from the British government, but without success. So now they put pressure on King Charles to make amends to the victims of slavery.

Alex Renton is a descendant of British slave traders and agrees that King Charles should apologise.

Hear Alex Renton tell more in the video above.
