The defendants’ deal in the Matthew Perry case

The main defendants in the trial regarding the death of actor Matthew Perry have told investigators everything they know.
– The authorities have got hold of text messages between doctors and between nurses, says freelance journalist Magnus Sundholm.

The death of actor Matthew Perry sent shockwaves around the world. Now the prosecutor has decided that there will be a trial against two of those suspected of involvement in the star’s death.
– In the weeks before he died, he was injected with drugs 68 times a day, says freelance journalist Magnus Sundholm.

Matthew Perry was found dead in his home last October. His death came as a shock and for a time was a mystery to many.

Ketamine in the body

The cause of death was initially unclear and a possible connection to drugs was rejected by the star’s friends. He himself had recently come out and talked about his new life in sobriety.

But it would turn out that it was precisely drugs, specifically ketamine, that caused the accident that ended his life.

Defendant’s deal to receive a lighter sentence

Now five people are suspected of involvement in the actor’s death. It is the star’s assistant, two doctors, an acquaintance of the actor and a woman known as the “Ketamin Queen”. Of these, three have admitted some involvement.

– Most things are very clear. It has to do with three of the five cooperating with the investigators. They do that, of course, to get a lighter sentence. They have laid all their cards on the table and this means that the authority has obtained text messages between the doctors and between the nurses. So it has been quite easy to put this puzzle together, says Magnus Sundholm.

On March 4, 2025, the trial begins where one of the doctors and the “Ketamin Queen” stand trial.
