Eleven people have died in the floods caused by the heavy rains in South Korea. Eight are still missing, the Ministry of the Interior announces.
Six of the deaths have been reported from the capital Seoul, three from Gyeonggi province and two from Gangwon province.
Over 5,300 people have been forced to leave their homes due to the floods.
The work to clean up after the masses of water continues since streets and subway stations in the capital were under water on Monday and Tuesday. According to President Yoon Suk-Yeol, the rain was the heaviest since statistics began to be kept for Seoul 115 years ago.
