Almost two million people in several provinces have been affected by the floods.
At least 53 of the 105 confirmed dead were from the province of Maguindanao, where the island of Mindanao was hit on Saturday by unusually heavy rains triggered by storm Nalgae.
The storm moved further out over the South China Sea on Sunday.
The death toll is expected to rise further. Dozens of people are still missing and many are injured.
“We have shifted our effort from search and rescue to retrieval because the chances of survival after two days are almost zero,” said Naguib Sinarimbo of the emergency services in the Bangsamoro region of Mindanao.
Scientists have long warned that catastrophic storms will become both more frequent and more intense due to climate change.
