The death toll in the migrant boat disaster in the Mediterranean rose to 80!

The death toll in the migrant boat disaster off the coast of Greece rose to 80.

In the statement made by the Greek authorities, it was stated that the bodies of two more people were found in the area where the disaster took place and taken to Kalamata Port for autopsy.

CLAIMS OF NEGLIGENCE OF GREEK COAST SECURITY RISE

Efimerida Ton Sintakton newspaper published in Greece claimed that the ship was removed from the scene by the coast guard teams in the news that included the statements of the captain of the oil tanker named “Faithful Warrior”, which passed from the point where the disaster occurred.

In the news, which alleged that the Greek Search and Rescue Center was aware that the overloaded boat was shaking dangerously, it was stated that the questions should be answered about why the coast guard teams chose to remove the oil tanker instead of calling it to the scene for a possible rescue operation.

Aleksis Tsipras, the leader of the main opposition Radical Left Alliance (SYRIZA), visited Kalamata Port, where the immigrants who survived the disaster were taken, to get information about the incident, and said that the immigrants told him that the Greek coast guard teams were trying to push the boat into Italian waters.
