The death toll continues to rise in Pakistan, where unusually early monsoon rains have caused massive flooding. A climate disaster according to the government, which is also criticized for allowing buildings too close to water. Meanwhile, Sindh province is bracing for another deluge from flooded rivers in the north. The Indus River flowing through Sindh is fed by thousands of tributaries in the mountains. Many of the tributaries have burst their levees as a result of the record rainfall and melting glaciers. The water masses are expected to reach Sindh within a few days.
