Algerian and Saint-Etienne football loses one of its legends. Rachid Mekhloufi died at 88 years old. The former Saint-Etienne striker made history, at club, with Saint-Etienne in the 50s and 60s and by becoming a member, in the middle of the Algerian war, of the FLN team formed in support of the independence cause.
