27 years ago, ostrich farmer Michael Klingstedt’s wife suddenly died of a heart attack, and he was left alone with their two daughters, who were then three and six months old respectively.
– That day I lost my love, my beloved woman who I had been married to for five years. It was very hard at the beginning, without the children I wouldn’t have coped, I think. It was my salvation, Michael has told earlier in the program.
Now he is looking for love in “Farmer seeks wife” and in Wednesday’s episode his two daughters come to visit to meet the women he invited to the farm. And it gets emotional when one of the daughters praises him in front of everyone and describes him as their superhero.
– Dad is a very sensitive subject, because you have always been there. Because we only had you, says one of the daughters.
That’s what the daughters think of the women on the farm
And the letter writers also get emotional after hearing Michael’s daughters describe him.
– Micke’s relationship with these girls is absolutely fantastic. It says an incredible amount about Micke to hear how his daughters describe him, says a moved Kari.
But the daughters also have opinions – something that is important to Michael because he wants them to be comfortable with the woman Michael ultimately chooses.
– I think it feels like he can find love among these, it feels like there are four good girls all in their own ways, Jolene states.
Jolene says that Jenny seems down to earth and easy to talk to. And Veronica notes that Kari and Mariette are quite different.
– It was nice to talk to Kari and Mariette. They are completely different people, Kari is much more energetic and takes on a lot. If it’s like this all the time, it can probably be a bit too much, but you can be nervous in certain situations too and then it can take over, you never know, says Veronica.
