The only daughter of an entertainer adored by the French, a Parisian stylist has created a brand of luxury clothing with vintage accents. On social networks and in the pages of magazines, the label is the new obsession of fashionistas.
State of Grace, Sunset Boulevard, Love at first sight, Vertigo… The names of the collections of the French brand Rowen Rose are poetic as can be. Since its launch, the luxury ready-to-wear label has offered extravagant, colorful collections with a retro touch that has been very popular in recent months. Actress Joey King, singer Hayley Williams and actress Bryce Dallas Howard have all been seen in clothes designed by the Parisian brand. Denim cigarette pants at 660 euros, red leather skirts at the same price, ultra-short dresses covered in rhinestones at 1,425 euros… In just a few years, Rowen Rose has forged an identity of her own. His signature ? XXL shoulder pads. On shirts, dresses, jackets and even vests, they adorn all the pieces of the Rowen Rose wardrobe.
But who is behind Rowen Rose?
Behind this new ultra glamorous label is the French Emma Rowen Rose. Born in Paris, she is the only daughter of Stéphane Rotenberg, the presenter of the shows Beijing Express And Top chef on M6, and Nathalie Pisibon, the producer and program director of the M6 group. After having cut her teeth within the Alessandra Rich house, she sold her car to launch her own brand in 2018.
In order to design her first pieces, the young woman took inspiration from the brands she loved, such as Prada and Chanel. She also draws on her artistic references, among which we can cite the cult film The Diary of a Maid by Luis Buñuel (1964) and the play Bernarda Alba’s house by Federico Garcia Lorca. Since then, the rise has been meteoric. Influencers, then international stars, quickly appropriate the designer’s pieces. In May 2024, Rowen Rose even set up shop at the very prestigious Printemps Haussmann for a unique pop-up store. To be continued in the next episode.
