The date for How I Met Your Father season 2

A new generation jumps into the dating world in How I Met Your Father, helped by a few familiar faces from the parent series How I Met Your Mother. Season 1 found its audience this summer. It has now been announced when the new episodes will start.

This is the start date of How I Met Your Father Season 2

Season 2 begins airing in the US on January 24, 2023 on the streaming service Hulu. After that, the episodes will be shown weekly, Deadline reports.

The local streaming home of How I Met Your Father is Disney+. It has not yet been officially confirmed when the new episodes will come to Germany. However, a release on Wednesday after the US premiere is conceivable.

What is HIMYF about and what’s next in Season 2?

How I Met Your Father is a spin-off of How I Met Your Mother and, like the original, has a near-future storyline. In it, Sophie (older: Kim Cattrall, younger: Hilary Duff) tells her son the story of how she met his father. This story takes us back to New York in the year 2022. Here we follow the experiences of Sophie and her close friends: Jesse (Chris Lowell), Valentina (Francia Raisa), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), Ellen (Tien Tran) and Sid (Suraj Sharma). In the age of dating apps and endless possibilities, they want to find love in the big city.

Season 1 ended with several familiar faces (and locations) from HIMYM. With regard to the story, however, we can be curious to see how Sophie and Jesse continue after their fateful night – also because in the finale Sophie’s Tinder date from the first episode occurs again.
