It was a little over 20 years ago, on May 8, 2002 in Karachi, Pakistan. An attack killed 11 French technicians from the DCN, the naval construction department, as well as three Pakistanis. They were working on the design of military submarines. The investigation in France brought to light the non-payment of retro-commissions and bribes having been used for the campaign of Édouard Balladur in 1995. A very documented fiction, a thriller, looks back on this affair: The Dark Paths of Karachipublished by Métailié.
