The Italian giant Milan won their first league title in over ten years on Sunday. A much awaited one, and the celebration in Milan will last for several weeks.
Long awaited title
Serie A lived all the way into the final round. But once it got underway, Milan made history short. After the first half, the Milan club was in the lead with 3-0, a result that then lasted the entire match.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to the club in the winter of 2020, and thus won his twelfth league title through his career, and it celebrated the Swede in grand style. When the star came out through the player tunnel after the final signal, he sprayed champagne wildly around him with a cigar in his mouth.
The Dane’s loving boot
Pictures from the victory celebration have also flooded social media since the league title was secured. The players have shared wild scenes of joy from their account on social media, and one of the best, from a Swedish perspective, probably comes from the Dane Simon Kjaer’s Instagram.
There, the Danish midfielder has posted a picture of himself and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the league trophy between each other, where he wrote:
“Sometimes Sweden and Denmark agree”.
