The Czech Republic defeated Sweden in the bronze match of the Junior World Championships.
The U20 Men’s Ice Hockey World Championship will be held in Ottawa, Canada from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025.
In the bronze match, the Czech Republic defeated Sweden at the end of the shootout with goals 3-2. The winning shootout was only decided in the 14th shot pair, when Sweden’s Otto Stenberg flashed the post, and the Czech Republic Eduard Sale ended the long overtime with his goal.

The Czech Republic led twice in regular time, but Sweden equalized in the opening set 1-1 and in the second set 2-2 by David Edstrom with full hits.
