Chelsea won the WSL league championship for the fifth time in a row.
Chelsea won the women’s WSL league championship when they beat Manchester United 6-0 in the final round of the league season on Saturday.
Chelsea and Manchester City, who beat Aston Villa 2–1 in the last round, ended up tied, but the tight championship battle turned in Chelsea’s favor with the goal difference.
The championship is Chelsea’s fifth in a row and seventh in the last eight seasons. Tremendous success has been built by head coach Emma Hayes, who, along with seven league championships, brought the London club five FA Cup wins and two League Cup wins during her twelve seasons.
Hayes said goodbye as he takes over as the US national team coach.
About the WSL’s Finnish players’ clubs Emma Koiviston Liverpool were fourth in the series, Eveliina Summanen and Olga Ahtinen Tottenham sixth and Jutta Rantala’s story Leicester tenth.
Rantala finished with six goals and shared the 16th place in the goal statistics, and in the assist statistics he was in the sixth place with his five assists. Summanen’s balance was a goal and four assists, Koivisto scored two hits and Ahtinen recorded a goal and two assists in the league season.
