Crown Princess Victoria, on an official visit to Australia, is not worried about the king’s surgery next Monday.

– Personally, I feel very secure that dad will be in good hands, the crown princess told TT in Sydney.

King Carl Gustaf will be operated on next Monday, February 20.

It is about a planned intervention with peephole technology in the heart area, and takes place on the advice of the king’s physician, according to a press release from the royal house.

– Unfortunately, this is something that sometimes needs to happen. But personally, I feel very confident that Dad will be in good hands. And I am grateful for the help that you can actually get in Sweden, says the Crown Princess on a visit to Sydney.

“The king is doing well,” the royal house wrote on Tuesday. His official program until the day of the operation is carried out according to plan.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are on an official visit to Australia, at the request of the government. On Thursday, the Crown Princess couple will fly to New Zealand, where another three days await with a busy schedule in Wellington and Hamilton.

The program is scheduled to end on Saturday afternoon.

TT: Does the king’s intervention affect the trip?

– No, it shouldn’t, says Crown Princess Victoria.
