Russian pilot Yaroshenko was detained in Liberia by agents of the US Drug Enforcement Agency on May 28, 2010 and brought to the US. Trevor Reed of the United States was sentenced to 9 years in prison for endangering the “life and health” of Russian police officers in an argument that broke out in July 2020.
The White House confirmed in a statement that the American Reed has been released.
