Less than three weeks from the Tour de France, Primoz Roglic (Jumbo) won the Critérium du Dauphiné, Sunday June 12, after the 8th and final stage between Saint-Alban-Leysse and the Col de Solaison. Wearing the leader’s jersey since the day before, the Slovenian took second place in this last stage, synonymous with guaranteed final victory. In the general classification, Primoz Roglic wins in 29 hours 11 minutes and 22 seconds, 40 seconds better than his Danish teammate at Jumbo Jonas Vingegaard (winner of the 8th stage). The Australian Ben O’Connor (AG2R Citroën) is third at 1 minute 41. On the winners list, Primoz Roglic succeeds the Australian Richie Porte. He is the first Slovenian crowned since Janez Barjkovic in 2010.
