The crisis team’s hit – crushed Timrå

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Linus Sandin scored the lead goal in the first period before Rögle treated the home supporters to goal fireworks in the second.

In the course of just over 8.30, the team scored four goals and took a 5–0 lead.

Oskar Stål-Lyrenäs scored two of the goals and top scorer Adam Tambellini accounted for one goal and two assists.

— Incredibly nice. An incredibly important victory for the whole group and fun that we scored so many goals, said Stål-Lyrenäs to C More.

Rögle lacked four regular defenders and had borrowed three from Allsvenskan neighbor Kristianstad. One of them, Viktor Grahn, was responsible for a goal-scoring pass and had over 18 minutes of playing time.

Rögle, which in recent years has established itself at the top, has had a tough autumn and was ahead of Thursday’s match three from the end. In addition, the team left the CHL on Tuesday already in the quarter-finals after winning the tournament last year.

The victory, however, lifted Rögle to a playoff spot.

For Timrå, the slump in form is getting longer and longer. The autumn’s biggest positive surprise in the SHL now lost for the fourth game in a row and was completely played out in the second period.

— We will be very small out there. It is far too bad, it must be mental, said Timråbacken Per Svensson to C More.

Timrå changed goalkeepers after conceding four goals when David Rautio had to leave for Jakob Johansson.

Robin Hanzl scored Timrå’s consolation goal in the third period.
