The game Twisted Towers lets you play a demo at the Steam Next festival. The shooter is reminiscent of bioshock and is even recommended by its creator.
Who is the Creator of Bioshock? Ken Levine founded the developer studio Irnational Games in 1997 together with Jonathan Chey and Robert Fermier. There he was responsible for the Bioshock series as a senior author and creative director.
As a former creative head behind Bioshock, he is considered the creator of the legendary shooter.
Which game does he recommend? In a post on X, Ken Levine asks his followers to test the new game of the developer Thomas Brush. Brush is currently working with his studio “Atmos Games” on the single player shooter Twisted Tower, for which a demo can be played as part of the upcoming Steam Next Festival.

Horror in a 50s amusement park
What is Twisted Tower about? In Twisted Tower you play a desperate man who was left by his great love for a wealthier guy. But then you will receive a mysterious ticket to an amusement park in which you can win an equally mysterious price.
Shortly afterwards you will find yourself at the gates of an abandoned amusement park of the 1950s, in which eerie mascot attacks you and the rides could use a maintenance.
Your goal within the park is simple: You want to climb the ominous Twisted Tower, because if you reach the tip of the tower, you can expect a prize. However, the mysterious director of the park, Mr. Twister, does not want to reveal what this is a prize. However, he promises that you will please the price – even if it should be different than the protagonist expects it.
The parking ladder also makes it clear that he knows about the lady, who loves her so longingly. Paintings of the young woman can also be seen within the park.
There are a total of 5 levels in the creepy amusement park, which you have to cross: a hotel, a water park, a clown casino, a carnival forest and a fairytale castle. The entire amusement park is supposed to commemorate various Disney worlds and bioshock-the latter in particular is clear by the turned opponents and the entire level design.
How does the game arrive? Even the demo from Twisted Tower makes a really good impression on players. Currently, strong 92 % of the approximately 630 reviews on Steam are positive (as of February 23, 2025).
There are also a few criticisms, such as optimization, but the art style in particular can convince. In addition to the design of the opponents, the sound particularly helps to ensure that the atmosphere of the shooter really comes into its own.
