Truls Möregårdh and the Swedish Table Tennis Association are in conflict.
Now the union comments on the criticism from the star.
“SBTF regrets the situation that has arisen with great grief,” they write on their own site.
The conflict is, among other things, that Truls Möregårdh wanting his brother Malte Möregårdh As a match coach at world tour competitions instead of coaches appointed by the union.
“It is an approach we have full understanding of. What we can also note is that at all championship medals that Sweden has played home in recent years, including Truls Möregårdh, all have been done with the support of match coaches appointed by SBTF. Among other things, former league captain Jörgen Persson. “
The union further writes that they have not closed the door for a private coach during international competitions that are not team competitions.
“But that opportunity has only been used at one time for two years,” they write.

At the WTT competition Singapore Smash in early February, Truls Möregårdh announced that he wanted his father Carl Möregårdh as a coach. Something the covenant, according to the Möregårdh team, stopped.
But a total ban that Möregårdhs suggests is not true, the union writes.
“The last message given to Truls by the national team was that the wish was that national team coach on the spot would coach but it was not a ban on Truls being able to have his father as a coach”.
