There has been a power outage in Nigeria for more than 11 hours. A statement was made from the Nigerian Electricity Transmission Company regarding the blackout, in which the country was almost plunged into darkness.
“FULL SYSTEM CRASH”
The Nigerian Electricity Transmission Company said in a statement that at 10:40 am local time, there was a “complete system crash” due to a voltage drop in parts of the electricity grid.
Power outages were reported in most parts of the country.
INVESTIGATION FOR THE CAUSE
It was noted that the network renewal works are continuing and the cause of the voltage drop is being investigated. (AA)
