A foreign body was detected in the bottle containing the coronavirus vaccine in Spain. Following the incident, 764,900 doses of Moderna vaccines from the party were recalled. Andalusia region health authorities announced that the foreign object was a mosquito.
ALL DOSES COLLECTED
In the incident that took place in the city of Malaga, in the Andalusia region of Spain, the Spanish Medicines and Healthcare Products Agency (AEMPS) ordered that all doses from the lot of the vaccine be recalled after a foreign body was detected in the vaccine bottle.
FOREIGN OBJECT Mosquito
Andalusia region health authorities announced that the foreign body that came out of the Kovid-19 vaccine bottle in the incident that took place in a vaccine center in the city of Malaga was a mosquito.
Moderna company, on the other hand, made a statement on the incident and stated that the lot of the vaccine containing a foreign body was sent to Portugal, Norway and Poland as well as Spain, and stated that a total of 764,900 doses of Kovid-19 vaccine in the lot was collected for precautionary purposes.
‘NOT APPLIED TO ANY CITIZEN’
In the statement made by AEMPS, it was stated that no vaccine was applied to any citizen from the bottle in which a foreign body was detected, and that the collection was carried out in accordance with the procedure.
