According to the preliminary official results announced by the ISIE, the “yes” vote wins by an overwhelming majority, but with a low turnout, denounced by the opposition.

More than 94% of voters who voted Monday in Tunisia said “yes” to the draft new Constitution, according to the results announced late Tuesday by the electoral body to the press. A victory by a very large majority of voters, therefore but with a participation of around 30%, according to the figure published on Tuesday.
A figure denounced earlier in the day by the opposition coalition National Salvation Front. The DSF, which had called for a boycott, the judge ” amplified and sees the sign of failure for Kais Saied. Its leader, Ahmed Nejib Chebbi, calls on the Head of State to organize early general elections.
The new text defeats the parliamentary system that had been in force since 2014, in the Constitution drawn up following the revolution, in the cradle of the Arab Spring.
