Swiss ice hockey club EHC Kloten announced on Saturday evening, that the suspect of a doping violation Miro Aaltonen the contract has been terminated.
Aaltonen’s contract with the Swiss premier league club would have lasted until the end of this season. According to the release, the matter was discussed openly with Aaltonen and the decision to terminate the contract was mutual.

On Friday, it was reported that 31-year-old Miro Aaltonen has been temporarily banned from competition, as the Swiss Anti-Doping Agency suspects him of a doping violation.

The Finnish attacker said he was seeking professional help for the situation.
Aaltonen represented EHC Kloten from the 2022–2023 season.
