The conclusion of the best Marvel trilogy is on TV today – there were even plans for a sequel

The conclusion of the best Marvel trilogy is on TV

We really haven’t been short of Marvel movies over the past few years. Despite the plethora of new superhero stories, however, there are rarely really good trilogies came out. Especially in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with its more than 30 films, everything feels more like a never-ending continuation.

The appeal of a trilogy seems to have been lost in the face of cinematic universes. Luckily there are also Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, which not only work very well individually, but also as a trilogy a very nice unit form. Tonight you can watch the conclusion of the story.

  • Today on TV: Spider-Man 3 airs tonight at 10:15 p.m. on VOX. The repeat follows on Sunday at 2:20 p.m. Alternatively, you can stream the film on Disney+.
  • Spider-Man 3: The grand finale to Sam Raimi’s masterful Marvel trilogy

Although Spider-Man 3 is no longer quite as strong as its two predecessors for many fans, it is still an impressive comic book adaptation that skillfully combines the blockbuster claims with the melodramatic elements of the Spidey saga. Raimi hasn’t lost sight of the heart of the story.

    Spider-Man 3 – Trailer (German)

Spider-Man 3 tells the story of the golden trio (Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn) in a highly emotional way. Carefully become the three central protagonists skilfully thought through. Where many superhero films only tease and tread water, Raimi kneels in the tearing emotions.

Originally, after Spider-Man 3, another film with Maguire and Co. was planned. Owing to creative differences and other behind-the-scenes conflicts, this sequel never materialized. Looking at the current trilogy, that might not be so bad. Because it is very consistent in itself.
