The Ariel remake gives Sebastian, Fabius and Scuttle a new look and new voices

Ariel’s animal companions are again animated in live action, but this time on the computer, with the sea creatures now being more closely adapted to real species.

Sebastian is in the English original by Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer) and in the German synchronous version of Tobias Schmitz (the voice of Marvel’s Black Panther T’Challa) spoken and sung. Before he was more of a (hermit) crab, now he’s a crab.

Fabius (or in the original: Flounder) borrows the young actor in English Jacob Tremblay (miracle) and in German Joshua Nath (Disney’s Pinocchio Voice Actor in Remake) his voice. Its design has changed significantly, it probably belongs to the surgeon fish.

Unlike in the original, Scuttle is a female this time and the bird is no longer a seagull but a gannet. Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) gives her her English voice and Maria Hönig (Awkwafina’s voice actor) her German voice.

Ariel Cast: Art Malik is Grimsby

Prince Eric’s steward and faithful companion, Sir Grimsby, will appear in Disney’s Ariel remake of Art Malik embodies the one you may know from films like Diana and James Bond 007 – The Living Daylights or series like Homeland.
