The communal garden in Svalöv was a success: “Coming here for the social part”

Earlier this year, SVT Nyheter Skåne visited the small cultivation lot outside the Swedish Cultural Agency’s premises in Svalöv. The idea behind a community garden was that people who did not have the opportunity to have their own garden would have a place to grow when food prices became increasingly expensive.

Now the farm is full of greenery from all kinds of fruits and vegetables.

– Most of the vegetables we grew have been eaten. There were many strawberries and recently we had a strawberry party where members baked cakes with strawberries and made different types of marmalade, she says.
