Yesterday, prosecutor Denis Devallois said that the suspect had recognized his act, “but does not really explain it”. “The interested party is detached, both in view of the gravity of the alleged facts and the consequences vis-à-vis himself (…) He does not express regret or any compassion for the victims,” he continued. The prosecutor has described a young adolescent appearing “loss of bearings as to the value of human life, to which he does not seem to attach a particular importance”. It is precisely with this passage that the adolescent lawyer does not agree.

He regrets a “politico-media excitement”

Me Chateau first wishes to recall that there will be “psychological and psychiatric expertise” during the procedure and that it is important to wait for their results. According to him, it is essential to “have all the elements to have an overview of this procedure (…) It is through it that a certain number of questions, in particular, of a medical, personal, environmental and school nature will be resolved”, he explains.

He greatly regrets “the politico-media excitement about the acquisition of knives by minors”. “Faced with the dread of the death of a young woman by the hand of a child, there are the popular vindictive and that of certain media (…) The time is pain in the face of an absolute drama, and for justice, that of the investigation,” he hammered.

Under his terms, the investigation must continue “in calm and serenity” and “no commentator or internet user must replace it with his pen or his verb”, he warns. He finally indicates that “relatives” of the respondent “have an infinitely painful thought for the victim, his family and his friends”.
