The cold continues to persist, and unsettled weather is expected next week. But ahead of Valborg, it looks like it will get warmer – with temperatures up to 15 degrees in the south.
In the coming days, the cold will persist. In the middle of next week there will be a transition to more unsettled weather.
– Then it won’t be quite as cold, which is partly to do with more clouds over the country, says Schildt.
During Tuesday morning, snowfall moves in over the Uppland coast and the Norrland coast. There will also be snow in western Svealand, Härjedalen and Jämtland.
During Wednesday, rain with snow patches is expected in southern Sweden and snowfall in northern Norrland. The low pressure will last through Thursday and Friday.
– There is still quite cold air in the country, not quite as cold as we have had earlier in the week, says Schildt.
– After that, we will get slightly milder air during next Sunday – but it is uncertain how far north it will go.
In conjunction with the mild air, there may be precipitation during next weekend and the beginning of next week.
On the eve of Walpurgis fair, the temperature in the south looks to be up to 15 degrees, or slightly higher, if it’s sunny. In northern Sweden, the temperature is more uncertain. It could be a couple of plus degrees, around zero – or even minus degrees, according to Schildt.
