The climate minister’s criticism of Bianca Ingrosso: “Difficult for the lifestyle”

Influencers highlight an unhealthy lifestyle when it comes to consumption. That’s the opinion of Sweden’s climate and environment minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L), who in an interview with DI tells how much she is bothered by it.

– I have such a hard time for them to be idols for young people, mainly women, in today’s society. I think that’s just depressing to the core, I would have liked people to see an interest in something else, she tells the newspaper.

She does not mean that the problem exists with all of the country’s influencers, but when asked what she thinks of Ingrosso in particular, who runs or is involved in several companies in fashion, the answer is critical.

– I have a very hard time with the lifestyle she promotes, she says.

“Getting a little upset”

Pourmokhtari is aware that many of the clothes probably come to Bianca Ingrosso via sponsors, but that the idea of everyone living like the influencer makes her afraid of the dark.

– If everyone who follows her had consumed and lived the way she does, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep anymore, because I would have had to work so hard. So I get a little upset.

The minister now calls on Bianca Ingrosso to instead use her platform and power to influence issues related to the climate.

– All the fantastic energy she has put into building an incredibly successful make-up company, she could move on and use for the next project, like revolutionizing the Swedish textile industry.”

Bianca Ingrosso has not responded to the criticism. SVT seeks her for a comment.
