Climate change threatens the world’s wine industry, where farms in southern Europe are hit hard by extreme weather and drought.
At the same time, new wine districts are now being created significantly further north. Andrea Guerra and Emma Serner started a winery on Gotland after a tough time in southern Italy.
– It is more and more of a challenge to grow wine down there as the conditions become more and more extreme. Sometimes it can be warmer and drier but sometimes it can just rain, says Andrea Guerra.
