North of Le Havre, in Seine Maritime, are the cliffs of Etretat. A renowned seaside resort, the small town is famous for its limestone cliffs that face the sea spray of northern France. A landscape as beautiful as it is tortured, it inspired Monet and Maupassantamong others.
