The cleanup at Furuvik no work environment violation

The Swedish Work Environment Authority does not believe that any work environment violations were committed at Furuvik in connection with the api escape in December, states P4 Gävleborg.

The authority will not recommend that any charges be brought against Furuviksparken’s management.

Four monkeys were shot dead during the escape.

– We have not found any flaws in how the management acted in the emergency situation, so we see no reason to recommend any prosecution, says Lena Sundstedt who is a work environment inspector at the authority to P4 Gävleborg.

With the decision, the Work Environment Agency’s review of the incident in Furuvik is completed.
