The repercussions of the Russian invasion of Ukraine continue. The effects of the war are felt all over the world. For this reason, Russia and its leader, Vladimir Putin, are at the center of the reactions. There has been a step from Russia to justify the invasion of Ukraine.
Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov argued that the Commander of the Ukrainian National Guard, General Mykola Balan, issued a secret order on January 22, 2022.
Stating that the order was sent to the relevant units, Konashenkov claimed that the signatures on the document were original.
Konashenkov noted that the said order includes a plan to prepare the relevant military units to launch an offensive in the area of joint forces operation in Donbas.
Expressing that the Ukrainian authorities have no plans to solve the Donbas problem by force, and that they are committed to diplomatic and political steps in February, Konashenkov said:
“However, the originals of the Ukrainian National Guard’s secret offensive documents clearly prove the inaccuracy of these statements. So far, there is only one question that remains unclear: how deeply the US administration and NATO allies were involved in the planning and preparation of the Ukrainian forces’ attack on Donbas in early March. Are they involved?” used the phrases.
