In the streets of Loja in Ecuador, music is everywhere, all the time. The loudspeakers at the entrance to the shops spit hits of salsa, cumbia or bachata. The garbage truck announces its passage by broadcasting the recording of a small whistle. The bells of the Church of the Divino Niño ring out the hour of mass. And, during the September festivities, an orchestra takes over the city!
