The Church of Sweden is threatened by a criminal actor on the Darknet – almost six months after the ransomware attack that hit the business hard in November.
The threat means that if a ransom is not paid before May 21, an unknown number of files will be published, the Church of Sweden writes in a press release.
The information came to the attention of the Church of Sweden on Tuesday. No ransom will be paid, according to a previously made decision.
The Church of Sweden has previously stated that the infamous hacker group Blackcat was behind the attack, which caused approximately 500 different systems to be down for several weeks, including the booking system and the payroll system.
