Teachers and pedagogues at Britsarvskolan in Falun noticed one day that the children suddenly stopped playing.
The children “dealt” fruit
It would later turn out that they had instead started “dealing” and haggling fruit with each other – causing concern among children who felt left out.
So the educators reduced the hierarchies
The barter went so far that the teachers applied for money for a project so that they could afford to offer fruit to all children instead, to reduce hierarchies and exclusion.
– We see that there are no more conflict-filled situations, the children play during the breaks and move more, says the educator Blerina Mustafa Jashari to Swedens radio.
