It therefore recommends an increase in the alert level, dissuasive patrols, systematic checks and searches of people and vehicles, as well as a strengthening of obstacle devices on the roads. He also calls for strict compliance with the measures enacted.
This alert comes a week after a series of terrorist attacks which targeted a military detachment, a mosque and a church. A few days ago, the Burkinabè armed forces neutralized several terrorists, including a senior member of the group supporting Islam and Muslims.
