They are two of the world’s best skiers.
But now the unexpected challenge comes to Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson.
From the national team colleague in slalom(!), namely Anna Swenn-Larsson.
The last ski season established itself Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson as two of the world’s very best cross-country skiers. Both of them settled for the medals during the World Ski Championships and it was Ebba who emerged victorious from that duel.

Next ski season, both will once again go head-to-head in the World Cup races around the skiing world. But now the most unexpected challenge comes to the Swedish national skiing team’s super duo.

It is the Swedish slalom star Anna Swenn-Larsson who raises his voice and points out Frida and Ebba. Swenn-Larsson also had a fine season with four podium places and the very first World Cup victory of his career.
– It could have been a bang season, but there were a few too many crashes. My big goal this season is to be in the top three. I really have the speed, but I feel that I never really get what I want, says the Swede in an interview with Sportbladet.
– I know I can beat Shiffrin, I’ve proven that now. But I have to ride at my peak while she is more stable at that high level. That’s what I have to work on. It’s such a nice border and small margins.

The challenge
Next season is championship-free on the alpine front and then the slalom specialist looks for other challenges. The 32-year-old is extremely strong in the gym and her favorite is the rowing machine, where she is actually thinking of competing in the WC for rowing machine.
– Rowing has always been a favourite. I have always been quite strong on cardio machines where you work with a lot of acid. It would have been fun to challenge the cross-country skiers in the “staken” (the stake machine). I don’t think I would have been that much worse. But now I also have to say that it is about 500 meters. If we were to drive a mile, I wouldn’t have a chance, says Swenn-Larsson to the evening newspaper.

Anna Swenn-Larsson really gets going on the idea of challenging the cross-country stars Karlsson and Andersson in a really interesting showdown in the gym and sends a clear pass to the national team colleagues.
– Maybe I should challenge Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson in the 500 meters. It would have been crazy fun. But I don’t know if they would like it and accept the challenge. I wouldn’t do it if it was five kilometers, but 500 meters stake machine, on tian. The challenge has been sent, she says in the interview.
