The checklist for the Christmas holiday trip – you must not take that with you

1. Follow the recommendation on when you should be at the airport before your departure

On the home page of Arlanda’s website, there is a tool where you as a traveler can enter your destination or flight number and get a recommendation for when you should be at the airport, which is adapted based on your departure. Remember that this is only a recommendation and that you as a traveler are always personally responsible for keeping yourself updated via your airline about your specific flight

2. Check in (if you haven’t already done so digitally) and retrieve your luggage tags from a machine

3. Leave your luggage

When you have collected your luggage tags in one of our check-in machines, you leave your bags in Bag drop, for the airlines that offer the service. Don’t forget to save your baggage receipt. Are you bringing skis, a stroller or other special luggage? Then you must first go to your check-in counter to get a tag and then to Special Baggage.

4. Prepare for the security check

If you are only traveling with hand luggage and have checked in digitally, you are welcome to go directly to the security check. The rules in the new security check in Terminal 5 are different from other security checks at the airport, so pay attention to which check you are going through and follow the instructions you receive in connection with the security check you are about to pass.

5. Keep track of your flight via Swedavia’s app

By downloading The Swedavia app you can easily and conveniently keep track of your flight. Via the app, you can subscribe to information about your particular flight and receive ongoing updates about the terminal, waiting time at the security checkpoint, check-in desk, boarding time and gate.
