According to the Municipal Act, personal elections must be closed. But since Peter Jonsson (S) was the only one eligible, the vote was made open. The decision was appealed and the administrative court has now announced that it was wrong.

Ronnie Walfridsson (M), vice chairman of the municipal board, was also elected incorrectly. Now the election will be rescheduled for November 13.
