The woman would deceive account details and bank cards from a 100-year-old man.

An easy change? Non.

The older man deceived the fraudster – and liked a trap with the police.

It is Södermanland News that tells the story of how the older man in Nyköping one evening a few days ago received a phone call from a woman. According to SN, the woman said in a friendly tone that the man’s money was in danger, but that she could help if she could come home to him and retrieve his bank card and account details.

The man agreed. But when he had put on the handset, he immediately called the police – and a trap could be liked.

When the unsuspecting woman came to the man’s home, she probably thought that there was a mild man at the age of centenary there. In fact, police had already taken their place in the home, and drone surveillance had also been arranged in the area.

– When the woman called on the man opened. Then the police stepped forward and seized the woman at the scene, Martina Gradian, press officer at the police, told SN.

– It was absolutely exemplary that the man called the police so quickly. It was absolutely crucial because it went as it went.

The woman at the age of 30 is arrested on suspicion of fraud.

Facting so do you protect you

Police tips – then you protect yourself against fraud.

• Add the handset. If you are called by someone and you feel unsure – end the call.

• Never log in. You should never identify with Bank ID or disclose Codes or information about your bank box or debit card.

• Do not trust the one who calls. No matter how credible the person calls is, or if it has personal information about you, do not trust what he or she says. Frauds can try to stress by, for example, saying that you will lose your money if you do not do as he or she says.
