After running onto the football field in the middle of an Allsvenskan match over the weekend, the cat Ester has become something of a celebrity.
– I’m not surprised, she’s such a cat, says owner Anna Ileby.
It was in the middle of the first half between Värnamo and Mjällby on Sunday, that the little kitten Ester ran onto the pitch. She managed to get a good distance before Värnamos’ Victor Larsson put an end to it all by lifting the cat up and carrying it off the field.
– I had a clip sent to me on Instagram with the question “is that your cat playing football”, owner Anna Ileby tells TV4 Nyheterna.
But she is not surprised, Ester is a mischievous little kitten who does a little as she pleases. The football field is also only a few hundred meters from the home, so her moving in the area was perhaps not so strange. But Anna Ileby had not understood that she had made it so far into the field.
– I think she thought it was great, but now we have told Ester that it is not okay to go to football. But who knows, she might show up at the next game too, says Anna.
Curfew
But the cat Ester’s adventure was not over after the soccer match, she continued to make the town during the evening and night. When she didn’t show up during the evening as she usually does, Anna posted a wanted post on social media
Not until early Monday morning did she deign to appear. Then a resident nearby heard and told them that Ester was sitting outside his window, so then it was just for the owner Anna to go and get her.
Whether Ester has plans to attend more football matches is unclear and remains to be seen. Today, at any rate, she has been curfewed for a few hours.
– Here you try to become known as an artist, but only the cat is interesting, laughs Anna.
