HUNGER GAMES. A new “Hunger Games” movie is in the works. The main cast is revealed, while the release is scheduled for 2023.
[Mis à jour le 31 mai 2022 à 17h12] A fifth Hunger Games movie is currently in the works. And the cast is finally starting to reveal itself! The main heroine, Lucy Gray Baird, will be played by Rachel Zegler. We have seen her before as Maria in West Side Story. She will soon be Snow White for Disney’s live action remake. Rachel Zegler will give the reply to Tom Blyth (Billy the Kid, The Gilded Age), interpreter of Coriolanus Snow in his youth.
As a reminder, the feature film will adapt the novel The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird by Suzanne Collins. This tells the story of a young Coriolanus Snow, played by Donald Sutherland in the first four films, 64 years before the uprising caused by Katniss. He prepares to be the mentor of the Hunger Games and to take care of the tributes of District 12… and more particularly the new heroine, Lucy Gray Baird, 16 years old. The release of Hunger Game 5 is scheduled for November 17, 2023, if the schedule is respected. Francis Lawrence, director of the last three films in the saga, will direct this new feature film.
