Shoes and toys found at crematorium ovens • “is not a horror movie – this is our reality”
The Mexican cartel’s “extinction branch” has been discovered.
Hundreds of shoes and clothing, crematorium ovens and toys were found by an activist group.
– This is not a horror movie. This is our reality and people must understand it, says the group’s leader Indira Navarro according to The New York Times.
They are described as one of the most violent cartels in Mexico. The crime syndicate Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación began to ravage in the early 2010s. They smuggle and produce huge amounts of drugs such as the life -threatening drug fentanyl but also methamphetamine.
In Mexico, over 100,000 people have disappeared against their will since that registration began in 1962. Now hundreds of people may have been found on a ranch, several media reports.

Got tips on the ranch
It is the activist group and the search organization Warrior Searchers of Jalisco that has found the “extinction ranch” Izaguirre in Teuchitlán in western Mexico.
The group consists of relatives of thousands of missing persons and according to the BBC they had been given tips that there would be a mass grave in the area. At the site, three ovens were discovered suspected to have been used to cremate people, hundreds of shoes and clothes, toys and leg remains. In addition, the Mexican death symbol was found Santa Muerte.
– This is not a horror movie. This is our reality and people must understand it, says the group’s leader Indira Navarro to Mexican radio according to The New York Times.
There the remains were found
The skeleton parts that were found must have been hidden in an underground place with a concrete slab over it that would make it harder to find everything. According to the activist group, the ranch was used by the cartel to torture and murder its victims as well as for recruitment and training.
According to JaliCo’s prosecutor, the identification work is now underway for the remains found on the ranch.
– There is a huge number of conceivable victims buried there. It is a nightmare -like reminder of how hit Mexico is by mass graves, says security expert Eduardo Guerrero to New York Times.

Found already in September
Several citizens are upset at the authorities in the country when the ranch was discovered during a raid as early as September last year by the local police. Then ten people were arrested, one person was found dead and two people kidnapped could be release. The remains were not found then because they were hidden, says the State Prosecutor’s Office.
Several relatives of the victims and human rights organizations are criticizing strong criticism and believes that the authorities would have darkened it all and accuse them of cooperating with the cartel.
It is still unclear exactly how many people have died on the site. But since over 700 personal belongings have been found, the figure can be high.
