Buying a car is expensive, while cars usually lose a lot of value in the first few years after they roll out of the factory.
A car that can be driven for many miles and kept for a long time is therefore beneficial for the private economy.
Now the American car sales platform has iSeeCars published a list of the cars that last the longest.

Cars that last over 40,000 miles
More specifically, the compilation includes car models and makes that have a significantly higher chance of achieving 250,000 miles or more. That corresponds to a mileage of over 40,000 miles.
The American car market differs from the Swedish one in that the domestic brands have a strong foothold, and that large pickup trucks have a significant market share.
However, the most common car brands in Europe also sell their cars in the US.
One brand beats all others
Looking at the rankings, one thing becomes immediately clear, and that is that one car brand beats all others in terms of the longevity of its cars.
The brand in question is Toyota, which occupies the first five places of the most durable car models on the market. The most durable Toyota model is the big pick-up Tundra, which is 4.2 times more likely to survive past 40,000 miles than the average car.
On the top 30 list, 1 in 3 car models are built by Toyota or sister brand Lexus. A Toyota has on average twice as much chance of going 40,000 miles or more compared to the average car.
Top Japanese car brands
Toyota and Lexus are joined by compatriots from Honda in the top list of car brands whose wagons have longevity.
In addition to the Japanese brands, it turns out that the American giants Ram, GMC, Chevrolet and Ford are doing well in terms of durability.
