The career of the young football player who went to

Lewi Devey, a 21-year-old amateur football player living in England, applied to the doctor, thinking that his symptoms were flu. Devey, who went to the doctor on November 7 due to breathing difficulties and flu symptoms, was diagnosed with pneumonia and influenza B. Despite the interventions, Devey’s condition worsened, causing him to lose both legs.

IT CAUSED BOTH LEGS TO BE CUT

After his condition worsened, Devey was put to sleep by being connected to a ventilator for 31 days, and his organs stopped working. Devey was diagnosed with sepsis (blood poisoning) and multiple organ failure on January 9, and it was decided to amputate both legs above the knee. After the difficult operation, the legs of the 21-year-old football player were amputated.

After the surgery, Levi’s family, who wanted to be able to walk again, started an online donation campaign to have a prosthesis made. As of yesterday, around £80,000 has been donated to Devey. Devey’s mother, Lara, said: “We were originally hoping to raise around £10,000 but we’ve had a huge response from this fundraiser. Families, students, communities, even people we don’t know provided a lot of support. The money raised will be spent on Levi’s wheelchair and the supplies he needs. First of all, he will learn to walk again. We will find the best prostheses he needs.”
