In beach volleyball, the ones who dominated the domestic courts Jyrki Nurminen and Sentry Siren end their joint sports careers. The couple tells about it in a press release.
Nurminen, 33, plans to continue in the sport as a player, coach and hall entrepreneur. Siren, 28, says that she is leaving the racing fields and moving on to new challenges in working life and studies.
Nurminen and Siren won seven consecutive Finnish championships between 2018 and 2024. During that time, they never lost to a Finnish couple on the SM tour.
Nurminen and Siren represented Finland in the EC competitions in 2022 and toured many other international tournaments. The pair won two Futures-level events on the world tour in 2021 in Budapest and Warsaw.
